- USS Topeka (CL-67) Captain from 24 July 1946 · Relieved on 1 August 1947
Donald Hendrie Johnson had Topeka (CL-67) from 24 July 1946 to 1 August 1947. NavSource lists him as captain and prints no final rank. DANFS does not name him. He is not Felix L. Johnson.
No birth, death, or hometown was in the sources fetched for this ship.
Nothing before the cruiser is in the NavSource line.
His command is postwar. NavSource starts him on 24 July 1946, the day it relieves Walter Gabriel Schindler, and relieves him on 1 August 1947. DANFS keeps the ship on occupation duty in Japan, China, and the Central Pacific until the fall of 1946 and brings her to San Pedro on 20 November 1946. Overhaul and west-coast operations follow. She did not sail for the Orient again until 22 September 1947, after his relief on this list.
The list names no later rank and no later ship.
