Ships on the table.

Twelve on a wide screen, eight if the window is narrower. A different draw each time the page opens. Search if you already know the name. The Fletcher, Kagero, and Yugumo classes are here. Many of those ships are a name and an ending. Sunk is a red seal. Still afloat at the end of the war is gold. A plain seal means the ending is not recorded. Every ship in a fight links to the others. Purpose. This site is a web of ships and the fights they shared. Open a ship and you get the battles she was in. Open a battle and you get every other ship that was there that night or that morning. Follow those names and a destroyer leads to the cruisers she screened, the carriers she guarded, the enemy she fired on, and the boat that finally sank her. The point is not a roster. It is the links.

The example. Shigure is the plain example. Coral Sea. Vella Gulf, where a torpedo passed through her rudder and did not explode, and she was the only one of four Japanese destroyers to get away. Horaniu. Vella Lavella, in the fight that sank Chevalier and blew the bow off Selfridge. Empress Augusta Bay. Surigao Strait, where she was the only ship of Nishimura’s force to come out. Blackfin ended that run on 24 January 1945. Search her name and you can walk the same path through the other ships she met.
