USS Melvin (DD-680) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 17 October 1943 and commissioned on 24 November 1943. Warner Ryerson Edsall was her captain from the commissioning day until 10 October 1944.

Barry Kennedy Atkins took command on 10 October 1944. Fifteen days later, with Atkins as captain, Melvin entered the Battle of Surigao Strait. On 25 October 1944 she was in the destroyer torpedo attack, the part she played in that battle. Melvin survived the war. The hull was sold for scrap on 14 August 1975.
