Captain Arleigh A. Burke had Destroyer Squadron 23 on the night of 1-2 November 1943. His flag was in Charles Ausburne. In the van with her were Dyson, Stanly, and Claxton.
Those destroyers were in the fire that finished Hatsukaze after Myoko had cut off her bow. That sinking is not credited to one of them.
