Photos and infoFubuki-class destroyer. The name is mist in the sky. Off Endau she was in the gun line that finished the British destroyer Thanet. In the Slot she took the survivors off Asagiri and towed Shirakumo. At Kula Gulf five shells killed ten of her men, and Nicholas and Radford drove her off the men in the water from Niizuki. In Blackett Strait, on 2 August 1943, her bow cut PT-109 in two. A fight did not finish her. A mine in the Makassar Strait sank her on 23 April 1944.
