Kagero-class destroyer. In the carrier screen at Midway, and not sunk there. At Kula Gulf she was in the support group with Niizuki and Suzukaze. She and Suzukaze launched the torpedoes that hit Helena. Not pinned to one of them. One shell that did not explode hit her. Torpedoed by USS Harder in Sibutu Passage on 9 June 1944.
