Battle of Sunda Strait
Sunda Strait, between Java and Sumatra
On the night of 28 February 1942 Perth and Houston tried to get through Sunda Strait and ran into the Japanese landing force. Cruisers and destroyers sank both of them. The sinking is not pinned to one Japanese ship.
