Shikinami was a Fubuki-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Juichi Iwagami was her captain from 25 January 1940.

On 1 March 1942 she fought in the Battle of Sunda Strait with Mogami and Mikuma. She launched one torpedo. The sinking from that action is not credited to one ship. Akifumi Kawahashi became captain on 15 April 1942.

On 15 November 1942, during the battleship night of the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, Shikinami was in Sendai's group. She came through that night.

In the Battle of the Bismarck Sea on 2 March 1943 she got away. She was one of the four destroyers that survived the Bismarck Sea. Shozo Michiki took command on 20 June 1943.

Tatsuhiko Takahashi was captain from 1 April 1944. On 12 September 1944, south of Hainan, USS Growler sank Shikinami. The navy struck her on 10 October 1944.
