Sendai-class light cruiser. Ahead of Kondo's battleship group on 15 November 1942, and not sunk that night. At Empress Augusta Bay she was Rear Admiral Matsuji Ijuin's flagship, with Shigure, Samidare, and Shiratsuyu. The American cruisers sank her. That fire is not credited to one ship.
