Photos and infoAkizuki-class destroyer. In Abe's screen on 13 November 1942. A month later she was Tanaka's flagship on a supply run. Off Savo Island, American PT boats put two torpedoes into her stern. The fire reached her depth charges and she sank. Nine men were killed. Not credited to one boat.
