Sims-class destroyer, DD-416, not a later Walke. At the Coral Sea she was with Crace and was not sunk. On 15 November 1942 she was the first of Lee's four destroyers on the battleship night off Guadalcanal. She was sunk in the opening fight. Not pinned to one Japanese ship.
