Yudachi was a Shiratsuyu-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She was one of the first Japanese ships the Americans saw.

Terumichi Arimoto was her captain from 15 November 1939 until his relief on 10 April 1941. Hisashi Ishii took command that same day.

On 24 January 1942, with Ishii still in command, Yudachi was at the Battle of Balikpapan together with Naka. She had no meeting with the American destroyers, and she was not sunk.

Kiyoshi Kikkawa became captain on 25 May 1942. On 13 November 1942 the ship was in the night action of the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal.

Gunfire disabled Yudachi during that night. She was sunk the next morning. The gunfire is not credited to one ship.
