Photos and infoShokaku-class carrier. Her flight deck was wrecked at Coral Sea and she was not sunk. Cavalla sank her on 19 June 1944.
Shokaku classFlight deck wrecked by American carrier aircraft on 8 May 1942. Not sunk at Coral Sea. She missed Midway because of the damage. The submarine Cavalla sank her on 19 June 1944, during the Philippine Sea battle.
