Fate	Afloat. Got out of Pearl Harbor and was not hit. Survived the war. Argentina later commissioned her as General Belgrano. HMS Conqueror sank her on 2 May 1982.

USS Phoenix (CL-46) was a Brooklyn-class light cruiser of the United States Navy. On 7 December 1941, during the attack on Pearl Harbor, Phoenix sortied and got out of the harbor. She came through the attack intact. On 25 October 1944 she was at the Battle of Surigao Strait, on the right flank. Phoenix survived the war. Argentina later commissioned her as General Belgrano.

On 2 May 1982, HMS Conqueror sank General Belgrano. The cruiser that had survived the war was lost that day under her Argentine name.
