Photos and infoFubuki-class destroyer. The name is the ripples. She spent the war in Destroyer Division 7 with Ushio and Akebono. On the first morning of the war she shelled Midway with Ushio. On 3 March 1942 she was with Ushio when Perch could not dive. Ushio fired, the crew scuttled, and the loss is not hers. At Coral Sea she was the destroyer with Shoho, and the one sent back for the men in the water. Off Horaniu she flew Ijuin's flag beside Shigure and was not hit. On 14 January 1944 Albacore broke her up. Akebono took off the 89.
