USS Taylor (DD-468) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 7 June 1942 and commissioned on 28 August 1942.

Benjamin Katz was her captain from 28 August 1942, the day she entered commission. She went into service as a destroyer of the Fletcher class under his command.

On 18 August 1943 she was off Horaniu in Ryan's division. In the Battle off Horaniu she came through undamaged.

On 6 October 1943 she was with the second American division at the Battle of Vella Lavella. That division arrived after the shooting.

Taylor survived the war. At the end of the war she escorted Missouri into Tokyo Bay with Nicholas and O'Bannon.
