USS Helm (DD-388) was a Bagley-class destroyer of the United States Navy. Paul H. Talbot was her captain from 16 October 1937.

On the morning of 7 December 1941, during the attack on Pearl Harbor, Helm was underway near West Loch. Bombs falling close aboard damaged her with near misses. The ship remained afloat.

On 9 August 1942 she was the northern destroyer at the Battle of Savo Island, on the northern patrol with Wilson. She fired at the Japanese cruisers and came through the action without a hit. Helm survived the war. She was still afloat at the surrender. The Navy decommissioned her on 26 June 1946. On 2 October 1947 the hull was sold for scrap.
