USS Oglala (CM-4) was a minelayer of the United States Navy. On 7 December 1941, in the Attack on Pearl Harbor, she was alongside Helena at the navy yard. The two ships lay together there as the attack struck.

The usual account is that a torpedo ran under Oglala and went on into Helena, and that the concussion of that hit opened Oglala’s seams. The torpedo remains unassigned to any one aircraft.

She capsized alongside Helena. The damage of that day is torpedo damage, and the attacker is unknown. She was raised afterward. Raised, she returned to service. She survived the war.
