USS Gwin (DD-433) was a Gleaves-class destroyer of the United States Navy. J. M. Higgins was her captain from 15 January 1941. A later ship also carried the name Gwin; this account is of hull DD-433.

On 4 June 1942, during the Battle of Midway, Gwin served in Yorktown's screen. She was still afloat when that battle ended.

On the battleship night of the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, 15 November 1942, she was the last of Lee's four destroyers.

Japanese gunfire damaged her badly that night. The gunfire is not credited to one ship. She got away. A torpedo wrecked her at Kolombangara on 13 July 1943. The ship that fired it is not known. Ralph Talbot sank the wreck. USS Gwin (DD-433) was lost.
