Henry Hastings McWilliam had Ceres from 30 December 1941 until 3 January 1942. It is a four-day command between Harry William Vaughan Stephenson's two periods.

Uboat.net records that he was born on 23 May 1894. The page gives no place and no date of death.

The rank table lists midshipman on 15 January 1912, acting sub-lieutenant on 15 May 1914, sub-lieutenant on 15 November 1914, lieutenant on 15 May 1916, lieutenant-commander on 15 May 1924, commander on 31 December 1929, and captain on 31 December 1937. He retired on 8 January 1947. He was mentioned in despatches on 23 May 1944. The page says it has no career narrative.

The only Ceres dates on the fetched list are those four days. Mason does not record a movement of the ship between 30 December and 3 January. She was still on passage in the Indian Ocean trade, and she was not yet in the Eastern Fleet squadron, which Mason dates from 1 March 1942. The 1944 mention in despatches is after this command. The page does not say what it was for.

He retired on 8 January 1947. The fetched pages do not record a death.
