Julius Max Berrey had Pasadena (CL-65) as a commander, United States Naval Reserve. NavSource lists him from 13 January 1947 to 26 March 1948 and prints no final rank above commander. DANFS does not name him. The ship was then in division exercises in Micronesia and, after Hawaiian maneuvers, back on the California coast for local operations.

No birth, death, or hometown was in the sources fetched for this ship.

Nothing before the cruiser is in the NavSource line.

His command is postwar. The list starts him on 13 January 1947, when it relieves Marion Emerson Murphy, and relieves him on 26 March 1948. DANFS keeps the cruiser in commission after that day, on an NROTC cruise in the summer of 1948 and off China into 1949, and names no captain for the rest of the commission.

The NavSource list ends with his relief. It gives no later ship.
