Neville Brevoort Carey Brock had HMNZS Achilles from 10 September 1943 until 15 March 1944. He was a retired captain, brought back for the war, and the ship was still in Portsmouth Dockyard. Francis John Butler relieved him, and it was Butler who commissioned her on 23 May 1944.

Uboat.net gives his birth as 25 September 1883 and no place, and no death.

The rank line is midshipman on 15 April 1899, acting sub-lieutenant on 15 July 1902, lieutenant on 31 December 1904, lieutenant-commander on 31 December 1912, and commander on 31 December 1917. He was placed on the retired list as captain on 25 September 1929, his forty-sixth birthday. No decoration is printed. The page says it has no career narrative.

The wartime commands on the page are the minelayer Agamemnon from 1 May 1940 to 5 November 1940, then Achilles from 10 September 1943 to 15 March 1944, then the heavy cruiser Norfolk from 19 April 1944 to 28 June 1944, while that ship was in dockyard hands at Hebburn, and the heavy cruiser Frobisher from 18 September 1944 to 16 March 1945. He is styled captain (retired) on each of those lines.

The fetched page does not say what he did after Frobisher, or when he died.
