Robert Edward Jasperson had Springfield (CL-66) from 23 October 1946. NavSource lists him as captain, prints no final rank, and relieves him in June 1948 without a day. DANFS does not name him. He is the captain the list gives for the Marianas cruise and the long stretch on the west coast that followed.

No birth, death, or hometown was in the sources fetched for this ship.

Nothing before the cruiser is in the NavSource line.

The command is postwar. NavSource starts him on 23 October 1946. DANFS has the ship leaving the west coast on 1 November 1946, at Guam on the 15th, in the Marianas until 19 February 1947, at Kwajalein from 25 to 27 February, at Pearl Harbor from 11 to 18 March, and back at San Pedro on 24 March. She then operated on the west coast for just over 18 months. The list ends his command in June 1948 and gives no day.

NavSource prints no later rank and no later ship.
