Sidney Moffat Raw had HMS Phoebe from 4 August 1944 until late 1945. He had her for the East Indies Fleet's Burma landings, the Rangoon assault, and the return to Chatham in October 1945.

Uboat.net gives his birth as 19 August 1898. It gives no place and no death.

The page lists him as midshipman from 2 August 1914, lieutenant from 15 April 1919, lieutenant-commander from 15 April 1927, commander from 30 June 1933, and captain from 30 June 1940. The line on the saved page is cut at the captain's date. He is styled captain on the Phoebe command list.

Uboat.net's event list for him, on the same commander page, places Phoebe at Bombay and Trincomalee in April 1945, off Rangoon on 1 May, and back at Colombo and Trincomalee in June. The ship's chronology carries the operations. His appointment ends only as late 1945. The ship paid off later, at Chatham, into a refit. The chronology does not say he was still in command for that docking.

No post-war appointment was on the fetched page.
