No birth, death, or hometown was in the sources fetched for this ship.
Nothing before the cruiser is in the NavSource line.
NavSource starts him on 15 May 1945. DANFS has Springfield off Okinawa until 28 May, then at Leyte, then with Task Force 38 against the home islands in July and August. She anchored in Sagami Wan on 27 August, entered Tokyo Bay on 3 September, and stayed in the Far East until early January 1946. He is the captain the list gives for that whole stretch. It relieves him on 12 March 1946.
The list prints rear admiral as his final rank and names no later ship.
