Uboat.net gives his birth as 19 June 1903. It gives no place and no death.
The commander page starts the rank line at acting sub-lieutenant on 15 September 1923. He is a captain on the Royalist list. The page does not show a death.
Uboat.net's own events for April and May 1945 name him in Royalist with the escort carriers off Burma, which matches the ship's chronology. The appointment ends as late 1945. Mason says the ship paid off into reserve in January 1946 and does not name the captain who paid her off.
