Kiyoshimo was a Yugumo-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy, built by the Uraga Dock Company. She was launched on 29 February 1944 and commissioned on 15 May 1944. Captain Isamu Miyazaki took command on 16 May 1944, the day after commissioning. On 5 September 1944, Captain Shizuka Kajimoto succeeded Miyazaki.

On 24 October 1944, in the Battle of the Sibuyan Sea, Kiyoshimo was damaged. In that battle she took off survivors. Her service ended on 26 December 1944. After an air attack she was torpedoed and sank.

From commissioning in mid-May to the December sinking, the destroyer served under two captains. Miyazaki had her from the day after commissioning until early September, and Kajimoto had her from then through the Sibuyan Sea and the loss that closed the year.
