Michishio was an Asashio-class destroyer of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She was sunk on 25 October 1944 in Surigao Strait.

Ichitaro Oshima became her captain on 15 October 1939. Masami Ogura took command on 15 November 1940, and Kiyoshi Tomura followed on 15 August 1942.

Yasuatsu Suzuki became captain on 25 January 1943. Tadashi Aizawa served as acting captain from 28 January 1943 and was relieved on 30 January. Noboru Haraguchi took command on 15 October 1943.

Masaaki Hirata became captain on 2 May 1944. Tomoo Tanaka succeeded him on 1 June 1944 and was still in command when Michishio was lost on 25 October 1944.

That day she fought in the Battle of Surigao Strait and was sunk in the strait. American destroyers and the battle line sank her with gunfire and torpedoes, the result shared among those ships. Shigure, in the same column, got away.
