The name means summer moon. Natsuzuki was an Akizuki-class destroyer. Sasebo Naval Arsenal laid her down on 1 May 1944, launched her on 2 December 1944 and completed her on 8 April 1945. She was assigned to Destroyer Squadron 11 for training and later to Destroyer Division 41 with Fuyutsuki, Suzutsuki and Yoizuki.

On 16 June 1945 she hit a mine and was heavily damaged. She went to Sasebo for repairs and was at Moji at the end of the war. She never left home waters. She was struck from the Navy List on 5 October 1945 and used to repatriate Japanese personnel until 1947. She was turned over to Britain on 25 August 1947 and scrapped at Uraga in 1948.
