USS Beale (DD-471) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 24 August 1942.

The Navy commissioned Beale on 23 December 1942. J. B. Cockran became her captain that day, and his command dates from the start of her commissioned service.

On 25 October 1944, Beale was at the Battle of Surigao Strait. In the arrangement of ships for that battle she was on the right flank.

Beale survived the war. The destroyer launched in August 1942 and placed in commission that December was still intact when the fighting ended. Her hull lasted for many years after that survival. On 24 June 1969 she was sunk as a target.
