USS Bush (DD-529) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 27 October 1942 and commissioned on 10 May 1943.

Wallis Frederick Petersen was her first captain. He took command on the day she was commissioned and held it until 12 June 1943.

Thurmond Augustus Smith relieved Petersen on 12 June 1943. His tour ran through 30 May 1944, the longest command recorded for this hull.

Rollin Everton Westholm became captain on 30 May 1944. He was still in command on the day the ship was lost. Bush fought at Okinawa in the battle dated 1 April 1945. On 6 April, suicide planes sank her. The hull went down on 6 April 1945. Westholm's command ended with the ship.
