USS Colhoun (DD-801) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 10 April 1944 and commissioned on 8 July 1944.

George Rees Wilson became her captain on the day she was commissioned. He held command from 8 July 1944 until 6 April 1945.

She fought at Okinawa, dated from 1 April 1945. By then a little short of nine months had passed since the ship entered service. On 6 April 1945, during the Okinawa fighting, suicide planes sank her. The hull was lost that day.

Wilson's command ended with the ship. Launched on 10 April 1944, Colhoun went down on 6 April 1945, just under a year after she first entered the water.
