USS Halford (DD-480) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 29 October 1942 and commissioned on 10 April 1943.

G. N. Johansen became her captain on the day she was commissioned. His command dates from 10 April 1943.

On 25 October 1944, Halford took part in the Battle of Surigao Strait. In that battle she was on the left flank.

Halford survived the war. The destroyer commissioned in April 1943 was still in existence when the fighting ended. The hull was sold for scrap on 2 April 1970.
