USS Heywood L. Edwards (DD-663) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 6 October 1943 and commissioned on 26 January 1944. Joe Wood Boulware was her captain from the day she entered service.

Boulware was still in command when the ship took part in the Battle of Surigao Strait on 25 October 1944. In that battle she was on the left flank. His tour ended on 25 December 1944. Albert Lee Shepherd became captain that day. Heywood L. Edwards survived the war. On 10 March 1959 she was transferred to Japan.
