USS Lardner (DD-487) was a Gleaves-class destroyer of the United States Navy. William M. Sweetser commanded her from 13 May 1942 until 16 June 1943.

On 30 November 1942 she was in the Battle of Tassafaronga. She joined the column late, with Lamson, and took a place at the rear. She came out of the battle still afloat.

Otto Carl Schatz was captain from 16 June 1943 to 19 May 1944. Jefferson David Parker commanded from 18 May 1944 until 7 June 1945.

James Boyd assumed command on 7 June 1945. Lardner survived the war and was still afloat at the surrender.

The Navy decommissioned her on 16 May 1946. On 28 April 1949 the United States transferred the hull to Turkey, and the ship was named Gemlik.
