Latimer (APA-152) served as an attack transport of the Haskell class. Oregon Shipbuilding at Portland launched her on 4 July 1944, and the Navy commissioned her on 28 August 1944.

She joined the Pacific transports in time for the Luzon reinforcement. Task Group 77.9 was the formation she sailed in, and she came as a reinforcement transport.

On 11 January 1945 she was off San Fabian, along the Luzon coast. Troops went ashore from her, and the support equipment they had brought went with them.

San Fabian was the landing she made. The boats finished that discharge, and she came through the war afloat.
