USS Luce (DD-522) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 6 March 1943.

The Navy commissioned her on 21 June 1943. D. C. Varian became her captain that day and is the commanding officer named with the ship from the start of her commissioned service. In the spring of 1945 she was at Okinawa. The date given for that campaign is 1 April 1945. Okinawa is the battle in which she was lost. On 4 May 1945, USS Luce was sunk.

Sinking is the fate of the hull. Her loss on 4 May 1945 came a little more than a month after the 1 April date of the Okinawa operation, and it closed a commissioned life that had begun on 21 June 1943 under D. C. Varian.
