Magoffin (APA-199) served as an attack transport of the Haskell class. Kaiser built her at Vancouver. She was launched on 4 October 1944 and commissioned on 25 October 1944.

An attack transport of her class carried the landing force and the boats that put it on the beach. Magoffin went to war in that work.

On 27 March 1945 she put to sea in the invasion force bound for Okinawa. The landings on 1 April included her.

She survived the war. One battle star stands on her record.
