USS McNair (DD-679) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 14 November 1943 and commissioned on 30 December 1943.

Montgomery Lientz McCullough became her captain on the day she was commissioned and remained in command until 28 April 1945. During that tour the destroyer took part in the Battle of Surigao Strait.

The battle was fought on 25 October 1944. McNair was in the destroyer torpedo attack, going in with the destroyers whose work in the strait was to deliver torpedoes.

Bruce Percy Ross relieved McCullough on 28 April 1945 and held command from that day. Herbert Hamilton Ward became captain on 31 October 1945. McNair survived the war. On 10 June 1976 the hull was sold for scrap.
