USS Morrison (DD-560) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 4 July 1943. The hull went into the water on Independence Day, in the middle of the summer, with her commissioning still ahead. The Navy commissioned Morrison on 18 December 1943. Walter H. Price became her captain that day. Her battle is Okinawa, dated from 1 April 1945. From that day she was in the operation there.

On 4 May 1945, during the Okinawa operation, Morrison was sunk. The loss came a little more than a month after the 1 April date, and that day is the end given for the ship.

Sunk on 4 May 1945, she closed a service that had begun with a July 1943 launch and a December 1943 commissioning under Walter H. Price. Okinawa holds both the fighting named for her and the day she was lost.
