USS Newcomb (DD-586) was a Fletcher-class destroyer of the United States Navy. She was launched on 4 July 1943.

The Navy commissioned Newcomb on 10 November 1943. L. B. Cook was her captain from that day, when her service began.

On 25 October 1944, Newcomb took part in the Battle of Surigao Strait. In that battle she was on the left flank.

Newcomb survived the war. The destroyer commissioned in November 1943 came through the Surigao Strait action and was still in existence when the fighting ended.

In October 1947 the hull was scrapped. That disposal closed the career of the ship launched in the summer of 1943 and placed in commission that November.
