USS PT-131 was a motor torpedo boat of the United States Navy, known by the hull number PT-131. On the night of 24–25 October 1944 she was on patrol in Surigao Strait with the motor torpedo boats gathered there.

Thirty-nine boats made up that patrol, and PT-131 was one of them as the night passed in the strait.

That duty carried her into the Battle of Surigao Strait on 25 October 1944, where she served in the motor torpedo boat patrol.

From the night of 24 October through the battle on the 25th, her place was with those boats on patrol in Surigao Strait.
