USS PT-143 was a motor torpedo boat of the United States Navy, a PT boat. She took part in the Battle of the Bismarck Sea, dated 2 March 1943.
Aircraft carried out the Allied attack that sank the convoy. The motor torpedo boats came in after dark.
After dark on 3 and 4 March 1943, PT-143 attacked the wrecks in the Bismarck Sea. She was among the boats that closed in once that air attack had sunk the ships.
