A boat of this type, not a photograph of this hull
No photograph of PT-195. This is a U.S. Navy PT boat patrolling off New Guinea in 1943, the same kind of boat. It is not this hull. Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons.

USS PT-195 was a motor torpedo boat of the United States Navy. On the night of 24-25 October 1944 she was one of the motor torpedo boats on patrol in Surigao Strait.

That patrol was her part in the Battle of Surigao Strait on 25 October 1944. She is counted in the motor torpedo boat patrol for the action. Thirty-nine boats were on patrol in the strait that night, and PT-195 was one of them.

Her place in the battle is that patrol duty through the night of 24-25 October 1944, with the other motor torpedo boats in Surigao Strait as the action of 25 October ran.
