USS PT-323 was a motor torpedo boat of the United States Navy, the hull numbered PT-323. On the night of 24-25 October 1944 she was one of the motor torpedo boats on patrol in Surigao Strait.
Thirty-nine boats were out on that patrol, and PT-323 was among them, keeping the strait through the dark hours that joined those two dates.
Her part in the Battle of Surigao Strait, on 25 October 1944, was with that motor torpedo boat patrol.
The night patrol and the battle of the 25th are the same recorded duty: PT-323 in Surigao Strait with the boats assigned to watch the water.
