A boat of this type, not a photograph of this hull
No photograph of PT-324. This is a U.S. Navy PT boat patrolling off New Guinea in 1943, the same kind of boat. It is not this hull. Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons.

USS PT-324 was a motor torpedo boat of the United States Navy, a PT boat carried on the list under that hull number.

On the night of 24–25 October 1944 she was on patrol in Surigao Strait with the motor torpedo boats. The boats out that night numbered thirty-nine, and PT-324 was one of them.

That patrol was her part in the Battle of Surigao Strait. The battle is dated 25 October 1944, and she is recorded in the motor torpedo boat patrol.

The night in the strait is the service attached to her: a boat of the patrol, present for the battle that the record dates to 25 October 1944.
