A boat of this type, not a photograph of this hull
No photograph of PT-329. This is a U.S. Navy PT boat patrolling off New Guinea in 1943, the same kind of boat. It is not this hull. Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons.

USS PT-329 was a motor torpedo boat of the United States Navy, a small fast craft of the PT series used for torpedo work and patrol in narrow waters.

On the night of 24–25 October 1944 she was on patrol in Surigao Strait. She was one of thirty-nine motor torpedo boats then on patrol in the strait.

That patrol was her place in the Battle of Surigao Strait, dated 25 October 1944. Through the night and into that day, PT-329 stayed with the motor torpedo boat patrol while the battle was fought in the strait.

The last word kept for the hull is the same night. PT-329 was one of the motor torpedo boats on patrol in Surigao Strait on the night of 24–25 October 1944.
