Rawlins (APA-226) served as an attack transport of the Haskell class built by Kaiser at Vancouver. She was launched on 21 October 1944 and commissioned on 11 November 1944.

Units of the 1st Marine Division were aboard when she departed Ulithi on 27 March 1945, headed for the beaches at Hagushi.

She reached the Hagushi beaches on 1 April and stayed through the 5th.

That April stay is what her one battle star records. She survived the war, and the Navy decommissioned her on 15 November 1946.
