What TESS shows

TIC 415460747 and TIC 2015971564 are 0.75 arcsec apart. Both apertures fade on one clock. Twenty-seven minima of the TYC star give

Min = BTJD 2855.58848 + 4.533641 E

The TYC aperture falls by 0.13 mag. The other aperture falls by 0.11 mag. The time below 98 percent is 4.5 hours, and the time below half depth is 3.4 hours. The times scatter by 19 minutes rms. The largest residual is 47 minutes. No secondary is adopted. Gaia’s solutions for the pair are poor, and TESS cannot say which star fades. The note is not a VSX submission.

Neighbor that also fades: TIC 2015971564 (Gaia DR3 2006430084414311168, G = 12.54) sits 0.75 arcsec away at position angle 244° and fades on the same clock. It is the magenta diamond marked N. Measure it in its own aperture, separately from the target.

Comparison stars are within about 1 mag of the target in Gaia G, have similar color, no close companion, and no VSX entry within 10 arcsec. Images: DSS2 red (POSS-II, STScI Digitized Sky Survey). Stars: ESA Gaia DR3.

VSX

Not filed. New addition from the 1.50–1.60° ring, 28 Oct 2026. One page for the pair. The host is not assigned.

Next two eclipses

  1. Eclipse 12 Nov 2026, 15:40 UTC · 2 Nov, 07:40 PST Pacific · 2 Nov, 16:40 CET central Europe
  2. Eclipse 27 Nov 2026, 04:28 UTC · 6 Nov, 20:28 PST Pacific · 7 Nov, 05:28 CET central Europe

These times are the blended eclipse. The fade lasts about 4.5 hours, and the middle can be off by about an hour. Use two apertures, one on each star of the 0.75-arcsec pair. The largest residual is 47 minutes.

Help with a measurement

The useful measurement is two apertures, one on TIC 415460747 and one on TIC 2015971564, 0.75 arcsec apart. A blended aperture only repeats TESS. Pick a date if you can try.
