What TESS shows

Forty-one primary minima in sectors 16, 17, 56, 57, 83, and 84 give

Min I = BTJD 1741.12066 + 3.316988 E

The deep minimum falls to 84 percent of the light, 0.19 mag, and lasts about 4 hours. A shallower minimum, about 3.2 percent, falls at phase 0.5. The times scatter by 4.6 minutes rms. The largest residual is 18 minutes. Neighbors inside an arcminute are V = 14.5 or fainter. A star 114 arcsec away, TIC 467473916, stays at full light. The note is not a VSX submission. It waits while TIC 330739083 is the one star in review.

The light curves

Six TESS sectors. Red ticks are the deep minima.

Comparison stars are within about 1 mag of the target in Gaia G, have similar color, no close companion, and no VSX entry within 10 arcsec. Images: DSS2 red (POSS-II, STScI Digitized Sky Survey). Stars: ESA Gaia DR3.

VSX

Not filed. The period is measured, the star 114 arcsec away stays at full light, and the centroid shift is inside the scatter. It waits while TIC 330739083 is the one star in review.

Next two eclipses

  1. Eclipse 1Secondary minimum, the shallower one. 2 Nov 2026, 02:40 UTC · 1 Nov, 18:40 PST Pacific · 2 Nov, 03:40 CET central Europe
  2. Eclipse 2Primary minimum, the deep one. 3 Nov 2026, 18:28 UTC · 3 Nov, 10:28 PST Pacific · 3 Nov, 19:28 CET central Europe

The deep minimum is 0.19 mag and lasts about 4 hours. The shallower one, about 0.03 mag, falls halfway between. The largest residual is 18 minutes. They have not been checked from the ground.

Help with a measurement

A ground eclipse, with the faint stars inside an arcminute kept out of the aperture, checks that this star is the one fading. Pick a date if you can try.
